Trump Discusses Operations Against Houthis with Oman, Vows Harsh Response to Yemeni Group

Yemen Monitor / Washington / Exclusive:
The White House said on Tuesday that U.S. President Donald Trump discussed the ongoing military operation against the Houthis — now entering its second month — with the Sultan of Oman.
According to the White House spokesperson, “President Trump and the Sultan of Oman discussed the ongoing military operation against the Houthis.”
She added, “President Trump emphasized that the Houthis will pay a heavy price unless they cease their attacks on shipping routes in the Red Sea.”
President Trump pledged that the Houthis would be “completely wiped out” amid the daily airstrikes launched by the U.S. military. Washington says the campaign aims to halt Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping lanes. The Houthis claim their attacks are in solidarity with Palestinians, while the U.S. and its allies argue the group has internal motives.
