U.S. Military Launches Dozens of Airstrikes in Northern and Western Yemen

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

U.S. fighter jets launched dozens of airstrikes on Tuesday across various areas in the Yemeni provinces of Marib, Al-Jawf (northeast), and Al-Hodeidah (west).

According to Houthi media, 15 US airstrikes targeted Kamaran Island in the western province of Al-Hodeidah.

Houthi outlets also reported that U.S. strikes hit  Al-Zahir district in Al-Bayda province.

Earlier in the day, US warplanes conducted two airstrikes on Al-Abdiyah district in Marib province, and three strikes on the areas of Al-Jahf and Al-Qadeer on the outskirts of Al-Hazm district in Al-Jawf province.

Since March 15, the US has intensified its air campaign against the Houthis in an effort to halt their attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden — both critical maritime trade routes.
