Houthis: 123 Killed in U.S. Strikes

Yemen Monitor / Sana’a / Exclusive:

Health officials in the capital, Sana’a, have reported that the ongoing U.S. bombing campaign in Yemen has killed at least 123 people since mid-March.

Officials aligned with the Houthi group stated that the majority of the casualties were civilians. They added that the US strikes have also injured 247 others, confirming that many of the victims include women and children.

U.S. President Donald Trump has vowed that the Houthis “will be completely wiped out” amid the daily airstrikes carried out by the U.S. military. Washington claims the campaign is aimed at halting Houthi attacks on shipping routes in the Red Sea. The Houthis say they are targeting vessels in solidarity with Palestinians, while the U.S. and the group’s opponents argue the motives are domestic.

On Monday, the Houthis reported that at least seven people were killed and 29 others wounded overnight in an airstrike that targeted a ceramics factory in Bani Matar District, west of Sana’a. They also claimed to have shot down another U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone.
