Houthi Media: U.S. Airstrikes Target Hajjah Province

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Houthi-affiliated media reported on Monday that three airstrikes were carried out on Abs District in Hajjah Province, located northwest of the capital, Sanaa.
According to the reports, U.S. fighter jets launched three airstrikes on the Bani Hassan area in the northern part of Abs District.
The extent of damage and potential casualties remains unclear, as local sources have not yet provided independent confirmation. However, the Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV claimed that the strikes targeted civilian areas, though no specific details were released about injuries or fatalities.
This marks the latest in a series of U.S. airstrikes on Houthi-controlled territories, as tensions escalate amid continued Houthi attacks on international shipping routes in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.
Since airstrikes resumed on March 15, the US has carried out around 300 strikes, according to Houthi figures. As of last Wednesday, the strikes had reportedly killed 61 civilians and injured 139 others, according to a statement by the Houthi-run Ministry of Health, which did not mention military casualties.
The United States has intensified its military operations in Yemen since mid-March, claiming they are part of efforts to deter threats to maritime navigation and protect regional security. Washington has not commented specifically on the Hajjah strikes, but U.S. officials have previously stated that their actions are targeted and aimed at degrading the Houthis’ military capabilities.
Over the past two weeks, more than 30 Houthi officers have been buried, reportedly killed in what the group described as the “Battle of Sacred Jihad and the Promised Victory” under U.S. fire.
This escalation comes days after U.S. President Donald Trump issued a warning to the Houthis via the “Truth Social” platform, stating: “If they do not stop attacking US ships, the real pain has yet to come — for them or for their sponsors in Iran.”
Meanwhile, the Houthi group continues to accuse the U.S. of committing war crimes and violating Yemen’s sovereignty, vowing to respond to what they describe as acts of aggression.
