Saudi Arabia: 18 Yemenis Arrested for Impersonating Security Personnel and Committing Thefts

Saudi security authorities announced today, Sunday, the arrest of 21 individuals, including 18 expatriates of Yemeni nationality, on charges of impersonating false identities and committing theft crimes targeting passersby and homes in Al-Riyadh.
A statement issued by the General Department of Investigation and Criminal Search of the Riyadh Police explained that those arrested used vehicles equipped with security equipment for the purpose of impersonating security men, carrying out thefts by exploiting these appearances. The statement also confirmed that three Saudi citizens were among the accused.
Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Interior published a video documenting the security campaign in which police officers and unidentified security vehicles participated, which resulted in the arrest of these individuals.
The video, published on Saturday evening, shows the security operation and reinforces the measures taken to apprehend those involved, along with pictures of the detainees taken from behind.
