Saudi-British Talks on Red Sea Developments and Efforts to Support the Yemeni Government

The Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Al Jaber, received today the British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, in an important diplomatic meeting during which the current situation in Yemen and developments in the Red Sea were discussed.

The meeting also addressed ways to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom to support the Yemeni government and the Yemeni people in facing current challenges.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Al Jaber expressed his welcome for the visit, stressing the importance of continuous coordination between Riyadh and London in supporting joint efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in Yemen.

During the meeting, emphasis was also placed on the need to strengthen cooperation between the two countries to support Yemen in this sensitive stage, and to work jointly to support the Yemeni government in facing the humanitarian and political challenges plaguing the country. The two sides also discussed ways of cooperation to support the needs of the Yemeni people and achieve their security and stability.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their firm and sustainable commitment to supporting Yemen and its people, stressing the importance of continuing to strive for peace and sustainable development, which contributes to the reconstruction of Yemen and the stability of the region.
