Houthis Report New US Airstrikes on Saada

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

Houthi media announced that US warplanes launched airstrikes on the city of Saada (the main stronghold of the group’s leader) in northern Yemen on Saturday evening.

Al-Masirah TV, affiliated with the Houthi group, said in a brief report via its Telegram channel, quoting its correspondent: “Four US airstrikes targeted the Hafsain area west of Saada city,” without further details.

Meanwhile, Houthi media outlets reported that two US airstrikes targeted the Kahlan area east of Saada city.

Yesterday, Friday, the leader of the group, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, said that operations targeting US naval vessels are continuing with high effectiveness, adding in a televised speech that the US aircraft carrier Truman is “in a state of continuous pursuit, and it is fleeing to the far north of the Red Sea,” indicating that his group is in a position he described as advanced at the naval level.

Furthermore, US President Donald Trump posted a video yesterday, Friday, showing a US bombing that targeted dozens of Houthi fighters.

The US President announced in mid-March that he had ordered his forces to launch a “major offensive” against the Houthi group before threatening to “completely eliminate the Houthis.”
