Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander: The Houthis Will Keep Their Steadfast Position

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, said that the Houthis will keep their steadfast position despite the continuous bombing, which represents a dilemma for the US, pointing to the Americans’ admission of the futility of their attacks.

Salami added that “the fronts of what he called the resistance in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq continue their steadfastness in the face of the pressures and the war waged by the enemies.”

The Revolutionary Guard commander warned that “the enemy is within our firing range everywhere,” indicating that they possess the necessary software and equipment to defeat it despite continued US support.

Last Tuesday, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt praised the execution of more than “200 successful strikes” against the Houthis, at a time of escalating tension between the US and Iran.

Since March 15th until Wednesday evening, hundreds of US airstrikes have been monitored on Yemen, resulting in the death of 66 civilians and the injury of at least 142 others, including children and women, according to data from the Houthi group. The data does not include military casualties.

The US President announced in mid-March that he had ordered his forces to launch a “major offensive” against the Houthi group before threatening to “completely eliminate the Houthis.”
