Trump posts video purportedly showing US strikes against Houthis in Yemen

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom/ Agencies:
US President Donald Trump posted a video on his Truth Social platform on Friday, which he claimed shows dozens of Houthi fighters killed in a US strike in Yemen, accompanying it with the phrase “Sorry!”.
Black and white aerial footage shows dozens of people gathered in a semi-circular formation before being bombed. This is followed by thick smoke rising, and then shots of the bombed site where only a few vehicles remain.
Trump wrote below the video, “These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack.” He added, “Sorry, there will be no attacks from these Houthis. They will not sink our ships again.”
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt had praised on Tuesday the execution of more than “200 successful strikes” against the Houthis, at a time of escalating tension between the US and the Yemeni rebels.
Earlier this week, Washington also announced the deployment of a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East.
Following the outbreak of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the Houthis launched missile and drone attacks on Israel, and targeted ships in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea, accusing them of being linked to Israel, stressing that their operations come in support of the Palestinians in the besieged sector.
Trump had previously warned the Houthis, as well as the Iranians, that “what comes next will be far greater” if attacks on ships do not stop.
