U.S. Night Airstrikes on Sana’a and Four Provinces

The U.S. carried out nearly 20 airstrikes overnight on Thursday/Friday, targeting areas controlled by the armed Houthi group across four provinces.
According to local sources and Houthi-affiliated media, the airstrikes targeted “the capital Sana’a, Hodeidah, Al-Jawf, and Saada.”
In the capital, Sana’a, the Houthis reported that airstrikes hit the Leadership Area in the Al-Tahrir district, in the city center.
Residents told Yemen Monitor that buildings and commercial shops along Al-Qiyada Street—where the Ministry of Defense is located—suffered damage.
Residents also reported that at least two airstrikes targeted the vicinity of Sana’a International Airport.
In Amran province, north of Sana’a, Houthi media reported that 19 airstrikes targeted several areas in Harf Sufyan district, including Lubaida, Al-Amshiya, Habasha, Al-Aadi, Al-Abla, and Al-Jabal Al-Aswad.
Earlier, Houthi media reported that four airstrikes hit the Jarban area in the Sanhan district.
On the Red Sea coast, the Houthis claimed that three airstrikes targeted Al-Luhayyah district in northern Hodeidah, a strategic province.
In Saada province, the Houthis’ stronghold in northern Yemen, Houthi media reported that five airstrikes targeted the As-Sa’id area in Al-Safra district, while two more hit Al-Salem district.
In neighboring Al-Jawf province, Houthi media reported that three airstrikes targeted Al-Hamidiat district.
Earlier on Thursday, the Houthi military spokesperson announced that the group had launched an attack on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and another military target in the south. The Israeli military stated that it had intercepted two ballistic missiles.
On Wednesday evening, the Houthis claimed that U.S. warplanes had launched 15 airstrikes on Sana’a.
On March 15, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered a “major attack against the Houthi group in Yemen” and later threatened to “completely eliminate the Houthis.”
