U.S. Newspaper: Israeli Intelligence Led to the Killing of Houthi Missile Expert in U.S. Airstrike

Yemen Monitor / Washington / Exclusive:
The Wall Street Journal reported that Israel provided the US with intelligence on the Houthis during the first wave of attacks against the group.
According to U.S. officials who spoke to the newspaper, the Israeli intelligence pertained to a Houthi missile official who was targeted in U.S. airstrikes on Yemen.
The Wall Street Journal stated, “Israel provided the US with human-source intelligence on Houthi locations during the first wave of attacks on Yemen, including information about the man responsible for the group’s missile program, who was entering the building where his mistress lived at the time of the strike.”
U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the results of the strikes against the Houthis in Yemen had exceeded expectations, emphasizing that Washington would continue its attacks against them for an extended period.
Although the U.S. military has been carrying out daily strikes on Houthi targets, the Pentagon has not provided details on the attacks since March 17, when it announced the targeting of more than 30 Houthi sites on the first day. Houthi officials claim the strikes have also hit residential areas and buildings in the capital, Sana’a, resulting in an unknown number of civilian casualties.
The Houthis have largely succeeded in keeping Western ships away from the Red Sea. Since they began targeting vessels in 2023, they have carried out approximately 130 attacks on commercial ships, according to data from the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project, a crisis monitoring group.
