Hundreds of Travelers Stranded in Wadi Al-Maqatara in Lahj Due to Floods

The heavy floods that swept through Wadi Al-Maqatara in Lahj Governorate (south) have damaged the road linking Lahj and Taiz governorates, leading to the halt of traffic and disrupting the travel of hundreds of passengers.
Local and news sources reported that ,this is the only road that links Taiz and Aden, and many citizens rely on it for travel during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, exacerbating their suffering due to the sudden stoppage.
Travelers called on the relevant authorities to intervene immediately to repair the road and alleviate their suffering during these critical times, especially with the approach of Eid al-Fitr.
Some travelers also reported that rocks had fallen on the Haijat Al-Abd road, further complicating the situation if they manage to cross Wadi Al-Maqatara .
Earlier, the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning in Yemen predicted varying intensity thunderstorms in a number of governorates, including Lahj and Taiz.
