Houthis Claim Responsibility for Ballistic Missile Attack on “Israel”

The military spokesperson for the Houthis announced on Friday that the group’s forces had targeted Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv and a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Red Sea.
In a statement, the Houthi spokesperson said, “We carried out two military operations, one of which targeted Ben Gurion Airport with a Palestine-2 hypersonic missile.”
He added, “Our drone air force targeted warships belonging to the USS Truman aircraft carrier.”
Earlier, the Israeli occupation army announced that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen before it could enter Israeli airspace.
Israeli occupation police stated that sirens had been activated in Jerusalem and central areas, and that security forces were scanning for possible impact sites.
On Thursday evening, the Israeli army reported that sirens were triggered in several areas following the interception of a missile launched from Yemen. This was the second such attack since the resumption of the aggression on Gaza. Meanwhile, Washington reportedly urged Israel not to respond.
