U.S. Airstrikes on Hudaidah and Saada… Houthis Claim Striking “Tel Aviv”

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

U.S. fighter jets launched a series of new airstrikes targeting sites in the governorates of Hudaidah and Saada in western and northern Yemen. Meanwhile, the armed group announced that it had targeted a military site in occupied Jaffa, southern “Israel,” with a ballistic missile.

According to media outlets affiliated with the armed group, which is classified as a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the Yemeni government, US’s fighter jets carried out four airstrikes on the Kathib area in the Al-Mina district of Hudaidah city.

Hudaidah, located on the Red Sea, is one of Yemen’s most important governorates, as it hosts an international airport, three vital ports, in addition to having a long coastline.

Later, Houthi media reported another strike in Al-Asaid area of Al-Safra district in Saada governorate, northern Yemen.

Saada holds strategic importance as the main stronghold of the Houthi group and shares a land border with Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the Houthi military spokesperson announced that the group had carried out a “qualitative operation” using a Palestine-2 ballistic missile targeting southern occupied Jaffa. He confirmed that this was the second such attack within 24 hours.

In a related development, the Israeli occupation army claimed on Thursday evening that its air force had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen.

These developments come approximately 24 hours after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to “completely eliminate the Houthis,” as he said.

On Saturday, Trump announced that he had ordered the U.S. military to launch a “major attack” against the Houthis in Yemen.
