Israeli Occupation Army: Missile Fired from Yemen Intercepted Before Entering Airspace

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Israeli occupation army announced on Thursday evening that it had detected a missile launched from Yemen toward central Israel, triggering sirens in several areas.

According to The Times of Israel, “a ballistic missile was launched from Yemen toward Israel, and the army is investigating the details.” The military confirmed that sirens were activated in multiple regions following the missile launch.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the missile launched from Yemen was “intercepted before entering Israeli airspace.” In response, flights at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv were halted following the missile launch.

Meanwhile, Israel’s emergency services reported that 13 people were injured while rushing to shelters, with three suffering panic attacks, though no serious injuries were recorded.

This marks the second time a missile has been launched from Yemen toward Israel since the ceasefire agreement on January 19, which Israel later violated.
