New U.S. Strikes on Three Yemeni Provinces as Trump Vows to “Totally Wipe Out” the Houthis

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Houthi-affiliated media reported on Wednesday that multiple areas in Yemen were hit by new U.S. airstrikes, as U.S. President Donald Trump vowed to “completely eradicate” the Iran-backed group.
According to Houthi media, “the American airstrikes targeted a banquet hall under construction in Al-Thawra district, Sana’a, damaging several nearby homes.” They also noted that “civil defense teams are working to extinguish fires caused by the aggression.”
The report added that “U.S. aircraft also launched multiple strikes around the city of Sa’ada,” followed by additional strikes on “Al-Sawadiya district in Al-Bayda province.”
Trump Vows to Annihilate the Houthis
In response, Donald Trump on Wednesday vowed to eliminate the Houthis after they launched their fourth attack in days on a U.S. aircraft carrier in retaliation for recent strikes. He declared that they would be “totally wiped out.”
The U.S. president wrote on his Truth Social platform: “The savage Houthis have suffered significant damage, and watch how their situation deteriorates over time. This is not a fair fight, and it will never be. They will be completely wiped out.”
Trump further stated: “We are receiving information that, although Iran has scaled back its overall support for the Houthis in terms of military equipment, it continues to supply them. Iran must stop this supply immediately. Let the Houthis settle their own scores. Either way, they will lose, but this way, they will lose faster.”
On Monday, Trump warned that from now on, he would hold Iran “responsible for any gunfire” from the Houthis, threatening Tehran with “horrific consequences.”
Since the weekend, Washington has been conducting an aerial campaign against the Houthis, which, according to the rebels, resulted in 53 deaths and 98 injuries as of Saturday. The Houthis responded by launching multiple attacks on a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Red Sea.
