New U.S. Airstrikes Target Sana’a

Yemen Monitor/Hodeidah/Special:

Houthi media outlets reported on Monday that U.S. airstrikes targeted several areas in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a.

Residents and sources said that the airstrikes targeted what are believed to be weapons depots at “Al-Iman University” in the Sixty street, and several explosions were heard coming from there.

Al-Nahdain area, where the Presidential Palace is located, was also subjected to airstrikes. Other airstrikes targeted the “Saref” area northeast of Sana’a, and another strike targeted western Sixty Street, according to sources speaking to “Yemen Monitor.”

This comes hours after airstrikes targeted Al-Habashi Iron Factory in Al-Salif District, Hodeidah Governorate, western Yemen.

No official statements have been issued yet regarding the details of these airstrikes.

On Sunday/Monday night, sources said that U.S. airstrikes targeted several areas in the coastal governorate, including strikes in Zabid District. Airstrikes also targeted a number of Yemeni islands off the coast of Hodeidah.

Early Monday, the Houthis said they targeted the U.S. aircraft carrier in the northern Red Sea for the second time in 24 hours.

Earlier on Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Iran “will be held responsible for every shot” fired by the Tehran-backed Houthi rebels, who have been launching attacks on commercial ships off the coast of Yemen for more than a year.
