Saudi Arabia Denies Any Participation in U.S. Military Operations Against the Houthis

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

A senior Saudi official denied today, Sunday, the circulating claims that the Kingdom provided logistical support for the U.S. military operation against the Houthis.

In statements to Al Arabiya and Al Hadath channels, the source dismissed as false the allegations that Saudi Arabia supplied fuel for the ongoing military operation in Yemen.

On Saturday night, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered a military operation against the Houthis, whom he described as “terrorists,” in response to their attacks on shipping in the Red Sea.

U.S. officials expect the strikes against the Houthis to continue for days or even weeks.

This marks the largest U.S. military operation against the Houthis and the first under Trump’s administration since he took office.

According to Houthi-affiliated media, the U.S. airstrikes on Saturday night resulted in the deaths of approximately 30 people and left over 100 others injured.
