Yemeni Government: Houthi Acquisition of Advanced Military Technology Threatens Regional and International Security

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The Yemeni Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Eryani, said that a New York Times report revealed the Houthis’ attempts, with Iranian support, to acquire advanced military technology, which constitutes a dangerous escalation that threatens regional and international security.
Al-Eryani added that the hydrogen fuel cells seized by the National Resistance on the western coast, which were on their way to the Houthi militias from Iran, give drones and missiles longer ranges and make them less detectable.
Al-Eryani pointed out that the government has repeatedly warned of the danger of the Houthi militias, but the world was lenient with the growing danger of the Houthis.
Al-Eryani noted that the world today is facing a terrorist cancer in its third stage, which is about to turn into the fourth stage, where its eradication becomes more difficult and costly.
Al-Eryani stressed that the Houthis’ continuation of this approach means that the world is facing a transnational terrorist organization that possesses tools that threaten the security of global trade and the stability of the region and the world.
