Taiz Governor Stresses the Need to Enhance Security Vigilance to Counter Houthi Threats

The Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, emphasized the importance of increasing security vigilance and preparedness to counter the threats posed by the Houthi group.
This came during his chairing of a security committee meeting, where he stressed the need to uphold national responsibility and implement directives aimed at protecting the governorate from any breaches.
The Commander of Taiz Military Axis, Major General Khaled Fadel, presented a detailed report on the military situation across various frontlines, highlighting the continuous efforts to repel Houthi infiltration and attacks.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of the Governorate’s Police, Colonel Anis Al-Shamiri, provided a security report outlining the successes of security forces in tracking and dismantling sleeper cells.
The meeting also discussed the issue of illegal migrant flows, emphasizing the need to strengthen security measures, control entry points to the governorate, and coordinate with the Refugee Affairs Unit to take appropriate actions.
Recently, the Houthis have intensified their military attacks on several sites and battlefronts against the internationally recognized government forces, particularly in the fronts of Taiz (southwest) and Marib (northeast).
