The Yemeni Mine Observatory reported that an elderly woman, Jamila Ahmed Al-Durain, in her sixties, was injured by the explosion of a war remnant while shepherding livestock near her home in the village of “Al-Kharif” in the Dhubab district of rural Taiz governorate.
The incident highlights the ongoing dangers faced by civilians in conflict-affected areas, where mines and unexploded ordnance continue to threaten the lives of residents.
These tragic events require further efforts to clear areas of mines and provide protection for civilians, especially in rural areas that rely on agriculture and livestock herding.
