Including Dengue Fever… Epidemics Sweep the Coast of Hadhramaut

The districts of the coast of Hadhramaut, in eastern Yemen, have recorded 331 suspected cases of dengue fever, cholera, and measles since the beginning of 2025, according to statistics from the Epidemiological Surveillance Department.
The confirmed cases were distributed as follows: three cases of dengue fever and one death due to measles were recorded in the Al-Dees district.
The number of suspected dengue fever cases reached 167, mainly concentrated in the areas of Mukalla and Broom Mayfa.
As for cholera, 81 cases were recorded, most of them in the Hajar district, while 83 suspected cases of measles were reported, with a focus on Mukalla.
On the other hand, 99% of the recorded cases have recovered, while 57% of the measles infections were among unvaccinated individuals, highlighting the importance of strengthening vaccination campaigns to protect the community.
