Aidarus Qasim al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council(STC), called on his supporters to enhance political awareness among southern citizens, continue field communication to ensure effective response to their needs, and bolster their trust in the STC as a body representing and defending their rights.
This came during a meeting held by al-Zubaidi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Wednesday to discuss the results of field teams that conducted awareness missions and assessed citizens’ conditions in various southern provinces, according to the official website of the STC.
The meeting aimed to strengthen organized institutional work, focusing on addressing urgent issues facing the people of the southern governorates, and identifying executive outcomes to tackle these issues.
From time to time, the STC, which advocates for the separation of South Yemen from the North, shifts responsibility for poor living and service conditions onto the Yemeni legitimacy, distancing itself despite its participation in the government and the Presidential Council.
