“Al-Alimi” and “Al-Shara” Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Relations Between Yemen and Syria

The Head of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, met with Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo.

During the meeting, which was attended by a number of members of the Yemeni Presidential Council, the two presidents discussed developments in both countries, bilateral relations, and prospects for strengthening and developing them at all levels.

Al-Alimi noted the historical transformations taking place in Syria and the will of its people to build their state and shape their bright future, expressing his aspiration for joint action to push bilateral relations towards broader horizons.

Al-Alimi reiterated the Republic of Yemen’s position in support of Syrian territorial integrity, sovereignty, and the will of its people and their aspirations for peace, security, and stability.

For his part, Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara praised the historical relations between the two countries and the importance of close coordination between the two sides in facing common challenges.
