Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, reaffirmed his country’s firm and principled stance on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that there is no alternative to a just solution that ensures the end of the Israeli occupation and Iranian interventions in the region.

In his speech at the extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo, Al-Alimi added that such a solution is the path to building a regional order characterized by peace, stability, and development, and that it would eliminate sources of chaos and destruction.

Al-Alimi stressed that the success of any political approach to achieving comprehensive and sustainable stability in the region is linked to the two-state solution. He pointed out that Palestine will remain the central issue for the Arab world and that deterring the occupation’s projects cannot be achieved through slogans alone, but through a collective strategy that supports the unified Palestinian position and strengthens cooperation and international alliances.

He also renewed Yemen’s full support for the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, and reiterated his rejection of displacement and settlement projects.

Al-Alimi further affirmed his country’s support for the positions of its brothers in Egypt and Jordan and the Arab plan for recovery and reconstruction, stressing the need to mobilize the necessary funding to implement it with the participation of the Palestinian people.
