United Nations Announces Evacuation of 24 African Refugees from Yemen

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced on Monday the voluntary evacuation of 24 African refugees from Yemen.
” 24 refugees (from the Horn of Africa) left Yemen in search of safety, through resettlement and complementary pathways, and have been given a chance for stability and a new future,” the UNHCR said in a post on the X platform.
It added, “With Yemen hosting refugees despite the challenges it faces, there is an urgent need for more resettlement opportunities for those who are still waiting.”
