Al-Alimi Calls on the Private Sector and Businessmen to Double Their Charitable Programs and Assist Those in Need

The Head of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, called on Yemenis to unite and reject division, enhance values of mutual support and compassion, and work towards achieving victory and restoring the institutions of the state, its security, and stability.

In a speech on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, the President emphasized the necessity of mobilizing all governmental and societal resources to alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis, reiterating the government’s commitment to support citizens in areas under Houthi control.

He also urged the private sector, the business community, and community initiatives to double their charitable programs and assist those in need, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Al-Alimi said that, “He and his fellow council members are fully aware of the impacts of the effects of the economic and service crisis, and the escalating pain expressed in peaceful activities and free voices,” renewing the pledge to spare no effort to alleviate the suffering.”

He added, “Today, we stand more resilient after nearly two and a half years of those criminal attacks, and we remain true to our promise to turn crises into opportunities for decisive victory, with God’s grace.”

On a national level, the President reaffirmed the commitment to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejected all projects aimed at displacing them and liquidating their just cause. He noted his acceptance of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s invitation to attend the extraordinary Arab summit in Cairo.
