“Yemeni Parties Bloc” Demands Halt to Currency Collapse and Price Control in Ramadan

The National Bloc of Yemeni Parties and Political Components stressed the need to expedite the implementation of urgent government measures to stop the currency deterioration, control prices, combat corruption, and ensure the provision of basic services during the month of Ramadan.

The Council discussed the latest developments in the country during its regular meeting chaired by Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, the bloc’s head.

The Yemeni Parties Bloc expressed its hope that the efforts of all legitimate institutions and their components would be combined to take the necessary measures to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The bloc emphasized the importance of the unity of state institutions, especially the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, stressing the need to enhance cooperation in a spirit of responsibility to restore the state and defeat the sectarian project represented by the Houthis.

The Yemeni Parties Bloc approved a number of decisions aimed at strengthening institutional building, in addition to proposals to address the economic crisis and combat corruption.
