Yemeni Journalists Syndicate Wins Membership in the Executive Office of the West Asian Journalists Union

Nabil Al-Asaidi, a member of the administrative body of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate, won membership in the Executive Office of the West Asian Journalists Union, and assumed the position of Financial Secretary-General of the Union for a period of three years.
Al-Asaidi’s victory came during the Union’s General Assembly meeting, which was held in Riyadh concurrently with the Saudi Media Forum, in the presence of leaders of the International Federation of Journalists.
Adwan Al-Ahmary was also elected President of the Union, and Fadila Al-Muaini as his deputy.
The Union aims to strengthen cooperation between journalistic syndicates in West Asia, protect the rights of journalists, and develop journalistic and professional freedoms.
Al-Asaidi expressed his pride in the participation of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate in this important union, stressing the syndicate’s role in defending the rights of Yemeni journalists at the regional and international levels.
