A Yemeni Minister Calls on Lebanese Government to Arrest Houthi Leaders

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Yemeni Information Minister, Muammar Al-Eryani, on Wednesday called on the Lebanese government to arrest and hand over leaders of the Houthi militia who will attend the funeral of the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah.
Al-Eryani wrote on his X platform account that “their participation confirms their absolute loyalty to Iran and their continued involvement in the Iranian project in the region, while the Yemeni people suffer from war, hunger, poverty and disease due to their destructive policies.”
He said that “the movements of the Houthi leaders are not merely participation in the funeral ceremonies, but come in the context of rearranging the ranks of the Iranian axis after the blows it has suffered.”
He also said that “these movements are directly linked to the wave of terrorist attacks on commercial ships and oil tankers, which poses a threat to stability in Lebanon, the region and the world.”
Al-Eryani called on the Lebanese government to take a firm stance by arresting the Houthi leaders and handing them over to the Yemeni government, stressing the need not to allow Lebanon to be a safe haven for the leaders of the terrorist militia, in compliance with international resolutions, as he said.
