Yemen and Egypt Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Oil, Gas, and Mining

The Yemeni Minister of Oil and Minerals, Saeed Al-Shamasi, discussed with the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Madbouly, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil, gas, and mining, on the sidelines of the activities of the Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2025) on Wednesday.
During the meeting, ways to develop cooperation between the two countries were reviewed, with a focus on investment opportunities in the oil, gas, and mineral sectors, according to the official Yemeni news agency.
The Yemeni minister stressed the importance of developing agreements between Yemen and Egypt, especially in investment areas related to gas and minerals, in addition to strengthening the presence of Egyptian companies in oil and gas projects and services, and benefiting from Egyptian expertise in these fields.
The two ministers agreed on the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, stressing that this cooperation will contribute to achieving economic development for the two countries, noting the need to develop a work program to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between them three years ago.
