The Yemeni Teachers Syndicate in Taiz Governorate called for a massive public demonstration at nine o’clock tomorrow morning, Sunday, to demand that the government implement the legitimate demands of teachers.
The syndicate condemned “the official silence of the government and the local authority regarding the teachers’ strike activities, as the government turned a blind eye and seemed indifferent to the suspension of education.”
The syndicate said, “It reserves its reservations about the statements and directives of Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak regarding the implementation of teachers’ demands in disbursing salaries and incentives, until they are actually implemented.”
It noted that “the Teachers Syndicate in Taiz Governorate has carried out many activities demanding the rights of teachers and educators,” stressing its continuation until the demands of teachers and educators are achieved.
