US Republican Senator Joe Wilson stressed on Friday the need for the Sultanate of Oman to close the Houthi group’s office in Muscat, stop money laundering, and close the borders to stop Houthi arms transfers.
He said: “Our great friends in Oman need to isolate the Houthis and not embrace them. The Houthi office in Oman must be closed, money laundering stopped, and the borders closed to stop Houthi arms transfers.”
Joe Wilson added in posts on his Facebook account followed by “Yemen Monitor” : “Iran will be defeated by the Yemenis themselves, and the US must help them”
He continued: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a close, constructive partner and a great friend against the Iranian regime, and we need to work with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to unify the Yemeni army to defeat the Houthis.”
