Yemeni Foreign Minister Sha’i Al-Zandani affirmed that the State of Kuwait holds a special place in the hearts of Yemenis, with kind gestures in various areas of Yemen through the assistance it provides in humanitarian, charitable, and developmental aspects, serving as a testament to Kuwait’s presence alongside the Yemeni people.
This came in a statement he made to the Kuwait News Agency and Kuwait Television during a lecture he delivered at the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute as part of his official visit with the accompanying delegation to Kuwait.
Al-Zandani stated that the State of Kuwait has stood by the Yemeni people in various phases, through both good and bad times, without expecting any return or political agendas in exchange. He expressed his pride in the fraternal relations that connect the two countries and their peoples.
He mentioned that his visit aims to enhance bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and to open new avenues for cooperation in various fields, wishing for these relations to develop further in the future.
Al-Zandani appreciated the role of the Kuwaiti political leadership and all officials for their support and steadfast positions towards Yemen.
He reviewed in the lecture, which was attended by Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaraḥ Jaber Al-Aḥmad Al-Ṣabāḥ and several heads of foreign missions and diplomats, the latest developments on regional and international arenas, as well as the developments unfolding in the region, particularly the Yemeni crisis, and the most important solutions for restoring peace and focusing on the process of rebuilding Yemen.
