The Houthi armed group announced that its participation in the “Supporting Gaza” campaign had reached its “conclusion” with the announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam said in a statement: “With the conclusion of this battle with the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, the Palestinian cause was and will remain the primary cause.”
He added: “There will be no true peace enjoyed by the region except with the demise of this foreign entity.”
Earlier on Wednesday, the Qatari government announced a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip following the signing of an agreement between the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Israeli occupation.
