Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi expressed his aspiration for a broader bilateral partnership with the US to confront challenges and deter threats that undermine the security and stability of Yemen and the region.
This came during his meeting with US Ambassador Stephen Fagin, to discuss the latest developments in the Yemeni arena and the Houthi attacks on international navigation.
The official Yemeni news agency reported that the meeting discussed the latest developments in the Yemeni situation and efforts to implement comprehensive reforms in the country.
It added that the international support needed to limit the repercussions of Houthi attacks on oil facilities, international shipping lanes, and commercial ships, and their catastrophic impact on the living conditions and humanitarian situation in the country, was discussed.
