CENTCOM Releases Footage of Strikes Against Houthi Targets in Late 2024

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on Wednesday released footage of what it said were strikes against Houthi military targets in Yemen at the end of last year, 2024.

CENTCOM said on X: “On December 30 and 31, U.S. Central Command forces conducted (airstrikes) on Iranian-backed Houthi targets.”

It added that it targeted “command and control centers, advanced weapons production and storage sites, and a coastal radar facility, destroying 7 cruise missiles and drones.”

It claimed that “these sites were supporting Houthi attacks on U.S. Navy ships and commercial vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.”

In late 2024, the Houthis announced that the US-British coalition had carried out 12 airstrikes on al-Ordi complex in Sana’a downtown and the “May 22” complex in the north of the city.

al-Ordi complex houses the Ministry of Defense, while the “May 22” complex houses the Ministry of Information, the radio and television building, and sports facilities, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent.

These strikes came hours after the group announced that it had targeted Ben Gurion Airport in the center of Israel and the power station south of occupied Jerusalem with two ballistic missiles.
