U.S., France, and UK Condemn Houthi Crimes Against Civilians in Hanaka Al Masoud

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

The US, France, and the UK have condemned the crimes committed by the Houthis against the people of Hanaka Al Masoud village in Qifah district, Baydha governorate (central Yemen), which resulted in the death of dozens of civilians and abductees, in addition to the looting and destruction of homes and properties in the village.

In a press statement, the U.S. embassy affirmed that “the unlawful killings, injuries, and detentions perpetrated by Houthi terrorists against innocent Yemenis deprive the Yemeni people of peace and a bright future.”

The British embassy in Yemen also “condemned, in a statement, the horrific attacks launched by the Houthis against innocent civilians in Baydha governorate, and called for an end to their attacks on civilians, including the ongoing arrests of innocent people.”

For its part, the French embassy in Yemen strongly condemned, in a statement, the new attacks launched by the Houthis against civilians in Hanaka Al Masoud village in Qifah, Baydha governorate, as well as the arbitrary arrests they carried out in recent weeks.

The French embassy affirmed that these crimes against the Yemeni people cannot be accepted or tolerated, as Yemenis deserve to live in peace.
