Yemeni Army Inflicts ‘Heavy Losses’ on Houthis in Three Frontlines
Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Yemeni army forces announced on Saturday that they had inflicted significant casualties and material losses on the Houthis across the frontlines of Marib (northeast), Jawf (east), and Taiz (southwest) over the past 24 hours.
According to the Yemeni Army’s website, “September Net,” Yemeni army forces repelled Houthi attacks in numerous battlefronts, both north and south of the governorate.
The website reported that “army forces effectively responded to Houthi attacks on a number of military sites on the northwestern front, where the Houthis used artillery, snipers, and drones.”
Sources added that “army forces stationed along the frontlines of ‘Al-Kasara, Al-Rudha, and Raghwan’ in the northwestern fronts forced the Houthis to retreat and flee under army fire. Additionally, army forces on the southern front of Marib governorate disabled Houthi artillery that was used to shell military sites on the southern Marib fronts.”
Furthermore, the source reported that army forces in Al- Jawf fronts thwarted an infiltration attempt by Houthi groups on the “Al-Jadafar” front, where they engaged the groups and forced them to flee.
Yemeni army forces also retaliated against Houthi attacks on the same front, targeting the sources of fire decisively, and inflicted significant casualties and material losses on the Houthi militia.
In Taiz governorate, Yemeni army forces foiled another Houthi infiltration attempt on the northeastern front of the governorate’s center, forcing these Houthi groups to flee amid casualties.
According to the army website, this coincided with the continuation of Houthi attacks on military sites in various fronts of Taiz governorate using artillery and mortar shells, but Yemeni forces stood firm and strong in the face of these attacks.
It added, “Yemeni army forces have also monitored the continued mobilization of Houthis to the contact lines, where our heroes stand ready and alert to thwart these attempts and their attacks on army positions.”
