Chief of Staff Meets with New and Former Commanders of the First Military Region

The Chief of Staff and Commander-in-Chief, Major General Saghir bin Aziz, held a broad meeting on Monday with the new leadership of the First Military Region in the city of Seiyun, Hadramaut Governorate, eastern Yemen.

The meeting, attended by the region’s commander, Commander of the 37th Armored Brigade, Major General Saleh Mohammed Al-Ja’eemlani, the Supreme Commander’s advisor, Major General Saleh Tumyes, the Minister of Defense’s advisor, Brigadier General Yahya Abu Oujja, and the military committee tasked with overseeing the handover process between the former and current region commanders and the 135th Infantry Brigade, was held.

Major General bin Aziz affirmed that “the armed forces will remain a model of discipline and organization, subject to the supreme decisions and directives and committed to the provisions of the constitution, laws, and regulations, bearing the responsibilities of restoring the state and protecting its gains and constants.”

Bin Aziz emphasized the strengthening of the unity and cohesion of the armed forces as a solid sovereign institution embodying national unity.
