Houthis Claim 2 Successful Military Operations Against “Israeli Targets”

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

The Houthi armed group announced on Friday that it had carried out two military operations against Israeli targets, in response to the aggression against Gaza and in support of the Palestinian cause.

The group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree, explained that the first operation was carried out by the missile forces, which targeted an Israeli power station east of Jaffa with a ballistic missile of the type “Palestine 2,” and the target was hit accurately.

He added that the drone force carried out a second operation targeting a military target in the same area using a Yaffa drone, and the operation was successfully achieved.

Earlier, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that 12 people were injured while fleeing to shelters and 9 due to panic after a Yemeni missile penetrated Israeli airspace on Friday morning.

The Israeli occupation army also announced the interception of a drone launched from Yemen before it penetrated Israeli airspace, just hours after the missile was launched.

The Israeli Home Front Command said that sirens sounded in more than 150 cities and towns in Israel after the missile was detected, including greater Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and West Bank settlements.

The Israeli occupation army stated that the missile launched from Yemen penetrated Israeli airspace and was intercepted.

It added that fragments of the missile fell in the Modi’in area of the Jerusalem district, and that an investigation was opened to update the circumstances of what happened.

The group’s leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, had previously announced on Thursday that the group had carried out support operations for  Gaza Strip against Israeli and US targets this week, using 22 missiles and drones.
