Yemen Discusses Support of Infrastructure Projects and Sustainable Development with South Korea

Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council member, Sultan Al-Arada, met on Tuesday with the South Korean ambassador to Yemen, Bong Kai Do, to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields.

Al-Arada and the Korean ambassador explored prospects for enhancing joint cooperation between Yemen and South Korea in economic and developmental aspects, alongside supporting international efforts to establish peace, achieve stability, and facilitate reconstruction in Yemen.

The meeting also reviewed the humanitarian situation amid the exceptional conditions currently facing Yemen, discussing ways to alleviate the humanitarian crisis by supporting infrastructure projects and sustainable development in Yemen, which would reflect positively on improving living conditions for the Yemeni people.

He highlighted the important positive role that Korea plays in supporting future development programs and projects in Yemen, including areas such as general and vocational education, information technology, renewable energy projects, and the potential

for establishing economic partnerships while encouraging Korean companies to invest in Yemen across various sectors.

For his part, the Korean ambassador expressed his country’s commitment to continue providing humanitarian and developmental support to the Yemeni people, affirming the Korean government’s eagerness to enhance partnership with the Yemeni government and expand areas of cooperation and coordination that serve the mutual interests of the two countries.
