Houthi Media: New Airstrikes on Hajjah, Western Yemen

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

The Houthi group announced on Saturday that the US-British coalition had carried out two airstrikes on Hajjah Governorate in northwestern Yemen.

Al-Masirah TV channel, affiliated with the Houthis, reported in urgent news: “The US-British coalition targeted the Bahis area in Midi district of Hajjah governorate with two airstrikes.”

The channel did not provide further details regarding the results of the bombing.

This comes after statements made by John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, in which he said that the US had succeeded in weakening the Houthis’ ability to threaten international shipping.

However, he said that the Houthis still pose a threat to “Israel” and are carrying out operations against it.
