Houthis Claim Targeting Israeli Military Base with Hypersonic Missile
Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The Houthi armed group claimed on Saturday that it had targeted the Nevatim airbase in the Negev region of southern Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile.
Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the group’s forces, stated that the group’s forces “targeted the Nevatim airbase in the Negev region of southern Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile of type Palestine 2, which successfully achieved its target.”
Saree vowed to Tel Aviv that his group’s forces “will continue to perform and carry out their religious, moral, and humanitarian duties with more military operations against the Israeli enemy until the aggression against Gaza is stopped and the siege is lifted.”
Earlier today, the Israeli occupation forces announced that they had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen early Saturday, before it entered Israeli airspace.
On Thursday, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Yemen, including Sana’a International Airport (north) and Hodeidah port (west), which are under Houthi control, as well as other service facilities, including Haziz power station in Sana’a and Ras Kathib power station in Hodeidah, resulting in 6 deaths and 40 injuries.
The latest Israeli attack is the fourth on Yemen this year, but it is the largest according to Hebrew media.
