The White House said on Friday that the US had managed to weaken the Houthis’ ability to threaten international shipping vessels.
In a statement, the White House noted, “We want the Israelis to begin their operations in Yemen in a way that limits the damage to civilian infrastructure.”
It continued, “The Houthis still pose a threat to Israel and are carrying out operations against it.”
The Israeli attack on Yemen yesterday, Thursday, was the fourth in the ongoing confrontation between the Houthis and Israel since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, following Operation of Tophan Al-Aqsa.
Israeli media revealed that about 100 Israeli aircraft participated in the attack on Yemen, and said that the Israeli Air Force carried out 7 raids on Sana’a and 3 raids on Hodeidah.
