Saudi Newspaper: “Riyadh Stands with Sana’a” and Closely Monitors Developments in Yemen

A Saudi newspaper has stated that Riyadh stands with Sana’a and is closely monitoring the ongoing developments in Yemen, warning against the dangers of using violence and its serious repercussions on regional security.
The newspaper “Sabq” published an article by its media advisor, Zaid al-Khushmi, titled “Never Abandoned: Riyadh Stands with Sana’a – Support in Crisis and Political Solutions.”
The article highlighted that “since the outbreak of the crisis in neighboring Yemen, Saudi Arabia has continuously initiated efforts to find a comprehensive political solution with the consensus of all Yemeni factions, in a way that supports the security and prosperity of neighboring Yemen and its people.”
It emphasizes the strong Saudi-Yemeni relations, stating that what binds the two countries is more than just geography; it is the brotherhood and friendship between the two countries and their shared destiny, strengthened by historical ties between Riyadh and Sana’a.
According to the newspaper, “Saudi Arabia cannot abandon its support for Yemen and all its components in light of the previous achievements.”
It explained that “Saudi Arabia and the coalition have provided the necessary political, economic, and humanitarian support to ensure the success of the outcomes of the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations, through supporting the Yemeni leadership and providing a deposit to the Yemeni Central Bank.”
Riyadh has also provided petroleum derivatives and has recently launched development projects and initiatives through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, and continues to provide support to Yemen and the Yemeni people, according to the newspaper.
