Intense Airstrikes Rock Multiple Areas in Sana’a

A series of intense airstrikes, believed to be Israeli, shook the Yemeni capital Sana’a on Saturday evening.

Residents told Yemen Monitor that “violent airstrikes targeted  Attan area southwest of the capital Sana’a, while other strikes targeted other areas east of the city.”

Houthi-affiliated media reported a “new aggression against the capital Sana’a,” without providing further details.

Over the past few hours, Israeli fighter jets launched 16 airstrikes, including 6 that targeted t Haziz and Dhiban power plants in the capital, while another 10 strikes targeted vital sites in the Hodeidah governorate on the Red Sea coast in western Yemen.

While there have been no reports of casualties from the airstrikes on Sana’a, Al Masirah TV channel, affiliated with the Houthis, reported that the Israeli attacks on Hodeidah “resulted in the death of 9 people and the injury of 3 others in the targeted sites.”

Al Masirah explained that the Israeli airstrikes in this coastal governorate “targeted Hodeidah port, Salif port, and Ras Issa oil facility.”

In contrast, the Israeli occupation army announced that 14 of its warplanes attacked 5 targets in Yemen with dozens of bombs.

The Israeli airstrikes caused significant material damage to Sana’a power plants and Hodeidah ports.
