16 Injured in a Houthi Missile Attack on Tel Aviv

Yemen Monitor/Al-Quds/Agencies:

The Israeli military reported that a missile launched from Yemen hit the Israeli city of  Tel Aviv  after air defense systems failed its interception.

The Israeli Magen David Adom ambulance service stated that at least 16 people were slightly injured in the rocket attack in  Tel Aviv area, most as a result of shattered glass.

One resident told the Washington Post that the strike happened so quickly that she didn’t have time to run to the shelter, and that she pulled a heavy blanket over herself to protect her from the glass as her windows shattered.

‘I’m very lucky,’ said Irina Brodsky, 35, adding that she was treated for head and finger wounds. ‘If the rocket had been one meter [closer], and not in a hole in the ground in the house, I wouldn’t have survived.’

Concurrently, the Houthi group announced that it had launched a ballistic hypersonic missile, the “Palestine 2,” targeting an Israeli military site in the occupied Jaffa area.

The group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said that the missile exactly hit its target and that Israeli air defenses and interception systems failed to counter it.
