Yemeni Investment in Saudi Arabia Reached 18 Billion Saudi Riyals by the End of 2023

Abdul Majeed al-Sa’adi, head of the Yemeni side of the Saudi-Yemeni Business Council, stated that direct Yemeni investment in Saudi Arabia reached approximately 18 billion Saudi Riyals by the end of last year, 2023.
In a press statement, al-Sa’adi added that the economic relations between the two countries have witnessed remarkable growth, and the Saudi leadership has provided facilities for Yemeni businessmen to support their participation in the Saudi economy.
Al-Sa’adi indicated that Makkah region will host, starting from next Sunday for three days, meetings of the Saudi-Yemeni Business Council, with the participation of 100 businessmen from both countries, under the slogan “Saudi Vision and Yemeni Development 2030.”
For his part, Abdullah bin Mahfouz, head of the Saudi side of the Saudi-Yemeni Business Council, confirmed in a press statement that the council aims to enhance investment opportunities and strengthen economic relations between the two countries, noting that the council seeks to be a model to be emulated in enhancing regional economic cooperation and achieving integration in investment and development opportunities.
The meeting of the Saudi-Yemeni Business Council aims to launch strategic projects that transform economic challenges into sustainable development opportunities and enhance investment partnerships between businessmen to stimulate initiatives and build an ambitious and sustainable economic partnership that contributes to supporting infrastructure in Yemen.
It also aims to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030 through strategic projects that contribute to the stability and development of Yemen, support its national economy, improve local production, increase Yemeni exports, and provide job opportunities for Yemeni workers, especially in rural and industrial areas.
