Yemeni-Egyptian Talks on Operating Flights Between Cairo and Riyan Airports

The Yemeni Ministry of Transport is conducting intensive talks with Egyptian authorities to launch flights between Cairo and Riyan airports in the coming weeks.
The official Saba News Agency reported that Transport Minister Dr. Abdulsalam Humaid discussed various aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries on Tuesday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, with Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Dr. Samih Al-haf.
The meeting touched on the nature of relations in the field of air transport and the level of passenger and air cargo movement between Yemeni liberated areas airports and Cairo International Airport.
During the meeting, Minister Humaid reviewed the level of technical preparations and security arrangements at the airports of the liberated areas, and the nature of daily and safe flights from them, welcoming the operation of any flights by Egyptian airlines from the airports of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the airports of the liberated Yemeni areas.
The Minister of Transport praised the facilities provided by the Egyptian authorities, including the Civil Aviation Authority on an ongoing basis, as well as Egyptian experts and specialists in the field of flight safety and security.
For his part, the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation affirmed his readiness and that of all institutions concerned with aviation affairs to provide all forms of support in the fields of qualification and training at the Egypt Aviation Academy, as well as technical consultations, in addition to providing the necessary facilities at Egyptian airports.
He confirmed that flights between Cairo and Riyan Airport in Hadramaut Governorate are in the final stages of completing approvals, and flights will begin in the coming weeks.
